Design has always been my passion, from redecorating my own spaces to creating beautiful spaces for friends and family. I get a great deal of inspiration for my designs and creations from my surroundings; like walking the dog in the forest or on the trails, driving through city centres and admiring historic buildings, or just sitting in the midst of what nature shows me.
The client experience is what its all about. Every person has their own style and their space needs to reflect that, so each design should be as unique as the client I am working with.
I launched Sugar Maple Interiors as virtual eDesign business. Virtual design is an affordable way to achieve a professionally designed space. The name Sugar Maple Interiors was inspired from the beautiful sugar maple tree that was transplanted from my grandparent's home to my childhood home. This sugar maple tree became our family's "Giving Tree", new saplings would sprout and my father would eventually give a new sapling to those who wanted them. To this day, I see those beautiful sugar maple trees still growing.
My formal training in design began at Sheridan College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning. I then proceeded to further my studies at The Interior Design Institute to graduate with a diploma in Interior Design.
I believe the design process should be inspiring and provide a sense of pride and joy when the project is complete.
